Jeep Reveals Supercharged 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

Jeep recently announced the new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, a supercharged version of its popular Grand Cherokee SUV. The Trackhawk will incorporate Mopar’s 707-horsepower V8 engine, which was originally designed for the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. With 645 lb-ft of torque in addition to the outrageous horsepower, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be the most powerful SUV ever.

It will also be the fastest SUV ever, able to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and drive a quarter mile in 11.6 seconds. It will have a top speed of 180 mph and brake from 60 to 0 in 114 feet, thanks to its new Brembo braking system, which will be the largest brakes every put on a Jeep vehicle. The upgraded TorqueFlight 8-speed automatic transmission has been reconfigured to handle the extra torque.

In addition to the new transmission and driveline components, the Trackhawk will also come with five drive-mode Selec-Track system as well as a Bilstein adaptive steering suspension, giving you better than ever control no matter what terrain you’re driving on. The interior is driver-oriented, with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Trackhawk Performance Pages, and more than 70 safety and security features both standard and available.
